Thank you very much for question. I would like to response as follows:
There is no difference between Vietnam visa on arrival and visa applied at the Vietnam Embassy. Once issued, they have same limitation and conditions attached to them. However, visa on arrival is available for air entry only while visa issued at the Vietnam Embassy can be used for both air entry and land border crossing. In case you enter Vietnam by bus via border gate on land, you must have a visa stamped on to your passport before your departure.
