How much does Vietnam visa on arrival cost?
There are many changes in Vietnam visa policy recently. However, visa on arrival is always the best way to get visa to Vietnam. With visa on arrival service, the customers may save up 20% to 40% in comparison with the traditional way to obtain visa at the Vietnam Embassy or Consulates.
In order to get Vietnam visa on arrival, the customers have to pay 2 kind of fee including:
- Visa processing fee: which is paid in full in advance to process the visa approval letter in 2 working days (normal service), 1 working day (urgent service) or 4 working hours (super urgent service). See table below for details.
- Visa stamping fee: is the fee you pay directly to Immigration Officers in cash (at visa counter at your arrival airport in Vietnam) to have visa stamped onto your passport. The fee is collected by Immigration Officers and compulsory for all travelers who use visa on arrival method. The stamping fee can be paid in USD or VND but USD is highly recommended to avoid any unexpected unbalanced exchange rates applied at the airport.
- From 23 November 2015, the visa stamping fee has decreased under the Circular 157/2015/TT-BTC issued by the Ministry of Finance (25 USD/ single entry visa; 50 USD/ multiple entry visa).

Once you complete the 1st visa application, you are offered a promo code which gives you 20% discount off total service fee when you (or your friend, your relatives...) make another visa application going along with the given promo code and your email.
Note: The above processing fee doesn't include the stamping fee which you will pay directly in cash at arrival airport.
Stamping fee
The stamping fee is regulated by the Vietnam Government and it is applied to all the customers arrive in Vietnam with visa on arrival. It will be paid in cash directly at arrival airport thus you need to prepare some USD in advance as far as there is no ATM, money changer or any other way to withdraw money in the immigration hall.
The stamping fee varies from 25 USD to 155 USD per visa depend on the visa type you selected.
Please see below the stamping fee updated from 23 November 2015:
- 1 month or 3 months single entry visa: 25 USD/ visa
- 1 month to 3 month multiple entry visa: 50 USD/ visa
- Upward 3 months to 6 months: 95 USD/ visa
- Upward 6 months to 1 year: 135 USD/ visa
- Upward 1 year to 2 years: 145 USD/ visa
- Upward 2 years to 5 year: 155 USD/ visa
